MSc "Exercise & Health"

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The selection of students is carried out in accordance with current legislation, the Regulations of Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies of NKUA, and the provisions of the present Regulation.

Each May, by decision of the Assembly of the Medical School of NKUA, a call for applications for admission to the MSc program is published on the websites of the Medical School, the University, and the MSc program. Relevant applications, along with the required supporting documents, are submitted to the Secretariat of the MSc program within the deadline specified in the call, which may be extended by decision of the Medical School Assembly.

The Medical School Assembly assigns the Selection Committee (SC) the task of conducting the admission process.

The necessary documents are posted on the MSc program website.

Admission is based on the following criteria:

- Bachelor’s degree grade (percentage weight)

- Certified knowledge of languages, e.g., English (percentage weight)

- Publications/scientific presentations (percentage weight)

- Research activity (percentage weight)

- Oral interview (percentage weight)

- Computer skills certification (percentage weight)

- Letters of recommendation (percentage weight)

- Possession of a second degree of the first or second cycle of studies (5% weight)

Based on the total criteria, the SC prepares a ranking table of candidates and submits it for approval to the Assembly.

Successful candidates must register with the MSc Secretariat within fifteen (15) days from the Assembly’s decision.

In case of a tie, the bachelor’s degree grade will be weighted at 70% and the number of scientific presentations and publications at 30%. Candidates who remain tied will be admitted as additional students, up to a maximum of 10% above the maximum number of students.

If one or more admitted students do not register, the next candidates on the approved ranking list will be called to register, based on their position in the evaluation table.
